Wednesday 6/16 - 16 mile bike ride
My first day of exercise since coming back to Colorado. I was a little nervous to jump back into training after being at sea level for a full week so I decided to go on a easy bike ride. My heart and breathing rate seemed relatively normal and the ride felt easy.
I'm 26 years old and recently relocated from New York City to Denver. I ran track in high school but never took it seriously. It started as an activity to keep me in shape for soccer but less than 2 years later I gave it up. After watching my older sister run the NYC Marathon in 2005 I was inspired to run again. I didn't really know what I was doing but I ran my first marathon in 2006. I said I'd never do another one after being in that much pain. However, nobody told me about the marathon addiction, 2 days later I was ready for more. Since then I ran NY twice and Philly once.
Current PRs:
5K: 18:09 (2008)
10K: 46:35 (2008)
13.1M: 1:42:44 (2008)
26.2M: 3:39:36 (2007)
